The Cuetec Cynergy is a carbon fiber composite shaft built around a single premise, that deflection performance and playing feedback are not mutually exclusive. Where most carbon fiber shafts prioritize deflection numbers at the expense of feel, the Cynergy was engineered to deliver both: aerospace-grade carbon fiber construction with a proprietary poly-foam core that produces the sound, flex, and feedback characteristics players associate with maple. The result is a shaft that plays like carbon fiber and communicates like wood. Available in three tip diameters, 10.5mm, 11.8mm, and 12.5mm, across nine joint configurations.

How the Cuetec Cynergy Is Built

Six distinct construction elements work together to produce the Cynergy's performance profile:

Multi-Directional Carbon Fiber Filaments

The Cynergy is constructed from multiple plies of resin-impregnated, military-grade unidirectional carbon fiber filaments, each filament measuring 7 micrometers in diameter, approximately one-twelfth the width of a human hair. The orientation of each filament layer is precisely controlled during manufacturing and heat curing so that each ply works in concert with the others, producing zero net displacement. The result is a shaft that is perfectly straight out of the box and stays that way, no warping, no seasonal movement, no humidity response.

Proprietary Poly-Foam Core

At the center of every Cynergy shaft is Cuetec's ultra-high-density polyurethane foam core, a proprietary formulation developed specifically for this application. The foam core adds structural stability while allowing for a prescribed flex response through the shaft, and it is the primary reason the Cynergy produces a more wood-like sound and feel at contact than other carbon fiber shafts. Feedback is built in at the material level, not added as an afterthought.

Flyweight Front-End Construction

Front-end mass is the primary driver of cue ball deflection, the heavier the shaft near the tip, the more the cue ball squirts on off-center hits. In the Cynergy, the poly-foam core terminates five inches below the tip, creating a rigid but nearly hollow cavity in the front section of the shaft. This dramatically reduces front-end mass compared to both solid maple and full foam filled carbon fiber shafts, producing exceptional low-deflection performance without requiring the player to compensate with aim adjustments on english shots.

Elongated Pro Tapers — Per Diameter

Each Cynergy diameter uses a purpose-built taper optimized for its size. The 12.5mm features a 15.5-inch super-straight taper with virtually zero rise, allowing for a level and precise stroke regardless of bridge length. The 11.8mm uses a 9.6-inch elongated super-straight taper calibrated for pinpoint tip placement and maximum spin generation. The 10.5mm uses a performance-engineered hybrid-conical taper designed for increased energy transfer on large tables and heavy cloth.

Thin White Sighting Ferrule — 0.25"

At only 0.25 inches in length, the Cynergy's thin white ferrule serves multiple functions. The white color provides strong contrast against the cue ball at the moment of contact, aiding aim depth perception. The lightweight construction contributes to reduced front-end mass. And unlike exotic ferrule materials found on some carbon shafts, the Cynergy ferrule is designed for straightforward tip maintenance, standard tip tools work on it without modification, and tip replacement is no different than on a conventional shaft.

Tiger Sniper Soft/Medium Tip — Standard on Every Cynergy

Every Cuetec Cynergy shaft ships with a Tiger Sniper soft/medium tip installed as standard, a 10-layer vacuum-laminated leather tip that is naturally cured for over a year before installation. The vacuum lamination process eliminates air between layers, producing a tip with exceptional density consistency and chalk retention. The soft/medium hardness pairs well with the Cynergy's carbon fiber feedback characteristics, providing enough give to communicate contact quality without the mushrooming common in soft tips.

Nine Joint Configurations

The Cynergy is available in nine total joint configurations, covering the most common joint types across all major cue brands:

Uni-Loc

The standard Predator and Lucasi joint, compatible with all cues using the Uni-Loc quick-release system.

Radial

3/8x14 — The Cuetec Joint

The proprietary joint specification used on Cuetec cues. If you own a Cuetec playing cue and want to upgrade to a Cynergy shaft, this is the configuration you need.

One of the more common thread specifications in production cue market and the joint that is on most McDermott Cues.

A less common specification found on specific cue models. Check your cue's joint specification carefully before ordering if you believe this may be your joint type.
